Tasmanian Art Retreat- 4 Days 3nights

Art Learning outline:
This 4 day art retreat is aimed at complete beginners or those who have some drawing and painting experience. This class will teach you the practical skills and techniques used in watercolour painting, whether you want to use this medium for illustrative work, typography or fine art painting.
Students will learn about the specific properties of watercolour paint, and develop practical skills and techniques in paint application, brush-work, colour mixing, rendering light and shade, tonal value, and design in watercolour painting.
By the end of the class, students will have completed many of their own watercolour paintings, and be able to take their new skills to continue developing in their own style, in this particular medium.
About the Art retreat:
Experience the inspiring scenery of the Sassafras area located in the North West of Tasmania, (flights from Melbourne fly into Devonport 12mins or Launceston 45min) whilst participating in a guided, relaxing art workshop. Facilities will be the homesteads, gardens & local public sites. You will be taken through each small step to inspire and encourage your project, meanwhile being served amazing home grown & local food. There is plenty of time to actively explore your own ideas and approaches with plenty of free studio time and even some lovely walks, yoga classes for your relaxation.
Garden walks, structured lessons, plein air painting and local towns site-seeing, are just some of the things you can expect. Stacey breaks up the 4 days with some studio time, travel locally to visit gardens, tourist towns, markets, scenic drives & lots of food. All accommodation meals and materials are included on this retreat.

About the tutor:
Stacey Jane Rocca is a self taught artist who prides herself in teaching all types of art to others. Stacey is a naturalist and finds her subjects in nature through her camera lens. Stacey has been running her art practice professionally for over 10 years and has since moved to Tasmania (from WA) in 2015 to further pursue her passions. Staceys teaching style is very patient, encouraging & supportive along with a huge knowledge giving heart. Stacey wants all her students comfortable and satisfied.
Stacey manages the Robin Hoods Well Farm Stay cottages hosting guests/travellers from all over the world. Her ability to facilitate retreats on her property & abroad provides a relaxing but adventurous and very creative experience for all.

About The property:
Based in the North West of Tasmania, Robin hood’s Well Farm Stay is an historic 60 acre property. Circa 1860. You will have plenty of time to explore the restored buildings and the ruins where the flora & fauna now occupy.
Your accommodation is the luxury restored farm cottages. Long John’s Cottage sleeps 5 twin share and The Garden Studio sleeps 2 twin share. Both well appointed dwellings. Sharing the facilities with other students. Max 7 persons.
Payment options: Paypal, creditcard, bank transfer, deposit and payment plan.

Includes 4 Day tutored Art workshop, Materials, Accommodation and 2 meals/day provided. No alcohol included. No travelfares included. Additional $150 if not able to twin share. Limited spaces. Max 7 persons. Airport pickup/dropoff service and local town chauffeuring. Non painting partners $485 for 3 nights stay & 1 meal per day.
